Specific Regulations
Article 1. Organization
The
15th BEVERBEEK CLASSIC is organized by vzw BEVERBEEK CLASSIC under the
regulations of the International Cycling Union.The office of the
organisation is located at the address : KAULILLERWEG 26/1 3950 BOCHOLT
Tel: +32/89.45.00.48 and http://www.Beverbeekclassic.com. The race is to be held on Saturday 25/02/2012.
Article 2. Type of event
The event is open to athletes of the Men Elite and under 23 categories. The event is entered on the UCI UCI Europe Tour calendar and is registered as a class 1.2 event. In conformity with the UCI rules, points are awarded as follows : 40-30-16-12-10-8-6-3 for the UCI ranking:
Article 3. Participation
As
per article 2.2.005 of the UCI regulations, the event is open to the
following teams: UCI Professional Belgian Continental teams – UCI
Continental teams – National teams – Regional or Club teams. As per article 2.2.003 of the UCI regulations, teams must be formed of minimum of 5 and maximum of 7 riders and total of max. 200 in the race.
Article 4. Race headquarters
The
race headquarters shall be open starting on Saturday 26-02-2011 from
8.30 am till 6.00 pm and located at the following address: OCMW,
Michielsplein in Achel. Team representatives are requested to
confirm their starters and collect their race numbers at the race
headquarters from 8.15 am to 9.45 am on the 25-02-2012.
The team managers' meeting, organized in accordance with article
1.2.087 of the UCI regulations, in the presence of the Members of the
Commissaires’ Panel, is scheduled for 10.00am at the LOCAL SCHOOL, in front of the cimetary, Grevenbroekstraat, Achel.
Article 5. Starting order TeamCars
The starting order of the teamcars is established by drawing, done by the officials.
Article 6. Radio-tour
Race information will be broadcast on the frequency of 162.890 MHz.
Article 7. Neutral technical support
The technical support service is handled by MAVIC.
The neutral support is taken care of by means of 3 neutral cars and a motorcycle.

Article 9: Last Kilometer.
In conformity with the UCI rules, the last kilometer is indicated with a red flag.
Article 10. Feeding procedures.
Supplies
are allowed by the teamleader from his car, only behind the first
officials car. Supplies are not allowed in the arrival area, aswell in
the first 50 km and the last 20 km of the race. A supplies zone is
situated in the local circuit in the “LEENDERDIJK”. All supplies are
allowed in this area, exept in the last 3 laps.
Article 11. Time limits
Any
rider with a distance of more then 5 minutes behind the group, can be
excluded by the officials and are not recorded in the results.
Article 12. Classifications - Time bonuses

Article 13. Prizes
The prizes are awarded following the UCI rules: (2425-1210-607-305-240-180-180-118-118-57-57-57-57-57-57-57-57-57-57-57).
A grand total of 6010 Euro will be awarded in prize money at the event.
Article 14.UCI ranking
Conform the UCI-rules points are awarded as follows: 40-30-16-12-10-8-6-3.
Article 15: Antidoping
The
UCI antidoping regulations are entirely applicable to the event.
Moreover, and in conformity with the law of Belgium, the Belgian
antidoping legislation is applicable in addition to the UCI antidoping
regulations. Each rider is responsable to check if he is selected for
the medical control. The antidopingtests will take place at the
Sportscenter “De Koekoek, Grevenbroekstraat in Achel.
Article 16. Awards ceremony
In
accordance with article 1.2.112 of the UCI rules, the first 3 riders
must attend the official awards ceremony. The riders will present
themselves at the podium in a time limit of maximum 10minutes after
crossing the finish line.
Article 17. Penalties
The UCI penalty scale is the only one applicable.
