TECHNICAL INFORMATION UCI ME. 1.2

The 15-th BEVERBEEK CLASSIC is the opening race of the Belgian Cycling season and will be staged on Saturday 25th of Februari 2012. It’s an International race cat. ME 1.2 UCI for elites and espoirs.

PERMANENCE: The permanence is situated in the hall of the OCMW-building (behind the church), Michielsplein in Achel from 8.15h till 9.45h.  (15’ before the briefing) Each competitor has to sign the departure control document before the start in the permanence until 11h50  on the podium.

BRIEFING: The meeting of the teammanagers is obligatory in the hall of the school, in front of the cimetary,Grevenbroekstraat, and starts at 10.00h sharp

PARKING: Parking 3 ( green) is provided on the Michielsplein for the teams 1.2. Therefore 3 parking tickets will be provided for the team cars.

CHANGING ROOMS: Changing rooms and showers are located in the Sports Center, “De Koekoek”,   Grevenbroekstraat, Achel.

DEPARTURE: At 12.00h in front of the Michielshof  in the direction of the “Dorpstraat”. A special carparc is organised on the Michielsplein, where all team cars must assemble 15 minutes before the start of the race.

DISTANCE:  The total distance of the race is 177 km ( 110.6 miles) or 1 circuit of 119 km     (74.4 miles) and 7 laps of 8.200 km ( 5.12 miles) each.

SUPPLIES: The supplies are provided under the rules of the UCI and KBWB from
km 50 (31.25m) untill 20km (12.5m) from the finish . The supplies area is situated in the local laps in the “Leenderdijk”, except in the last 3 laps.

REGISTRATION: The Beverbeek Classic is a race on invitation. Teams with a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 7 competitors, with a minimum of 5 foreign teams are provided. The teams are to be composed in accordance with the regulations of the UCI and KBWB. The total of competitors is limited to 200.

NUMBERS: The numbers and the authorisations for the teams are available in the permanence and will be delivered to the team manager.The numbers are to be placed on the LEFT site

FINISH: The finish is situated in the Gen.Dempseylaan in Achel. The fotofinish is on the LEFT site.

RADIO –TELECOM: The radio’s are provided by the National Telecom Team ( Ben Impanis) and the Antwerp Regional Team ( Mel Avonds). The frequence of the telecom is 162,890.

FINISHPODIUM:  After the race the first 3 riders are requested on the podium for the ceremony of honours.

MEDISCHE CONTROLE: The medical control is provided in the Sports Center, Grevenbroekstraat.

DISTRIBUTION OF PRICES: All prices will only be paid by the Belgian Cycling Federation by payment on the teams bank account.
